Chi-Town GetDown is back baby!!
Well the GetDown is finally back my friends. Since the unfortunate closing of the Kinetic Playground we’ve been a band with out a venue. Thankfully we’ve found a new home in the Abbey Pub! It’s going down Friday January 13th with our old pals Zmick and Thinner Teed! Woohoo!

NYE 2011 at The Castle Theater and new recording!
Big things going down in Wiser town! Come ring in the New Year in style at the beautiful Castle Theater in Bloomington IL. We’ll be joined with some old hometown frineds; Chicago Farmer, Jaik Willis, and Dan Hubard (and the Humadors). More details coming soon. And…we currently in the process of recording a 5 song Ep at Dr. Caw Studios. We just spent 24 of the last 48 hrs laying down the hot tracks! Stay tuned…

festival!!!
Festival season continues! Whippersnap Music and Arts Festival was amzing! Big thanks to the Barefoot Fred boys and everyone who made it a success. Production was top notch. Videos of our late nite Party Barn set can be found on YouTube. Thanks Jaik for changing out the batteries in the Flip. Next up is Jammin’ on the Wolf in Wisconsin, HWB plays July 30th at 1 pm. I promise to post more frequently in the future. haha.

Scamp here we come!
yay! we’re delighted to announce we got into Summer Camp 2011! Not only that but we got a great slot, 9-10 Camping Stage on Thursday. So get there for the preparty and help us kick off the best fest in the midwest Wiser style. Thanks to everyone who posted on the facebook page. The Castle Theater with Family Groove Company!
Hey ya’ll, just got word we will be opening up for our pals Family Groove Company at the Castle Theater in downtown Bloomington IL. The madness will take place on Saturday April 9th. The word on the street is the venue is sick. Can’t wait!

Wow! I guess it’s been awhile…
Well it appears I’ve been neglecting the website…sorry Andy! We’ve got some cool things on the horizon. Our monthly residency at the Kinetic Playground, The Chi Town Get Down, is really picking up steam each one being better than the last. ChicagoJamScene.com wrote an article about it here. The next installment is Feb 4th. The following weekend is the first annual Cabin Fever Indoor Music Festival in Peoria IL. We’re really looking forward to this one. Two days and nights of the best music the midwest has to offer. Wiser plays on Friday Feb. 11th. Working on a couple of Mack Glass shows for the Spring Semester…gotta to get back to B-town soon. Then…it’s Festy season..yay! Our main man Zach is working on filling up the summer with as many as we can. Stay tuned for more dates my friends. We’ll see you out there.

HalloWiser is upon us once again!
We’re gearing up for our annual Halloween bash at the Mack Glass Factory (Oct. 30th in Bloomington IL) with the one and only Jaik Willis! This year we will be joined by special guest DJ ZEEK and Ledert Zeppellis (Wiser and Jaik doing Zeppellin). After our first full rehearsal it is safe to say Jaik Willis doing Robert Plant is well worth the price of admission! After Halloween we will be focusing our efforts completely on recording for the rest of the year. It’s been a long time coming since the addition of Ryan Chamlin on keys.

NYE was awesome
Good bye 2011…hello 2012! Thanks to everyone who helped us ring in the New Year at the Castle Theater. Jaik, Cody and Dan Hubbard and the Humadors all threw it down. Thanks to Andy “Light it Up” Kotansky for…well…lighting it up, Bryan Flick for running sound, Zach Swinderman for making it all happen and the Castle Theater for throwing the best party in town.
